Secretary
Job Description
The Secretary is responsible for providing senior level secretarial, clerical and administrative support to ensure that services are provided in an effective and efficient manner to the governing Central committee, Executive committee, and other Officers of the RPLC.
In addition, the Secretary shall:
• Serve on the Executive committee.
• Secretarial duties, such as managing guest books, sign-in sheets, contact information forms, and taking minutes at meetings
• Undertaking administrative duties when updating databases, filing, and responding to correspondence
• Produce and maintain an effective filing system and develop office standards.
• Work with the RPLC Chair to canvass NM legislative sessions.
• Assist in the planning and preparation of meetings, conferences and conventions
• Assist in development and dispense agendas as prepared by the RPLC Chair
• Work closely with all sub-committee Chairs, offering help to organize and develop their strategy.
• Help inform the Central committee and general membership of recommended decisions, goals and strategies.
• Help the Executive committee develop a voter registration plan, including voter education.
• Review and help write white papers on the endorsement or declination of measures that may come before Lincoln County voters.
• Help draft reports, amendments, and prepare briefing materials
• Identify and mentor successors.
